Home maintenance doesn’t happen by itself. You need to take care of it.
Today I want to talk to you about something that's really fun: PESTS!
My wife hates those pests, she yells and stuffs whenever there's a stink bud!
So let's talk about bugs, I was in a home the other day and we had some problems. We actually had multiple problems. We had fruit flies and roaches! That's like a duofecta of insects. I didn't see any termites, maybe that would've been a trifecta.
Here's some tips and tricks to avoid these pests and insects from coming in if you are maintaining or getting your house ready for sale:
Clean your kitchen - I know this is sort of far-fetched. We had a big dinner and we threw everything in the sink but the pests are actually attracted to those tidbits of morsels.
Cover your water containers - we don't want standing water at all in our property. That's gonna get the mosquitoes and we don't want them in there.
Put the food in the fridge - consider putting fruits and veggies in the refrigerator instead of leaving them in the counter top because pests and insects love it. I think that's where theose fruit flies came from when we are doing the listing presentation.
Throw meat properly - meat really attracts those nasty critter and we want to avoid that
Consider pest control - this is ultimately the best thing to consider
Ultimately, keeping the pests away needs discipline.
If you have more questions about pest control for your home, feel free to give me a call or send me an email. I’d love to speak with you.
